The Brazilian defender is keen to make a name for himself this season after struggling to adapt to life at the Nerazzurri in his first 18 months
Juan Jesus says he is ready to become a key player for Inter now that he is settled in after a difficult start to life at the Giuseppe Meazza side.
The Brazilian defender, 22, initially struggled to adapt to his new surroundings after joining Inter from Internacional in January 2012.
Juan, who also has his sights set on making an impact at international level following his four caps for Brazil, insists he has put the groundwork in to have a successful season for both club and country.
"When you go to a new team you just need a bit of time to settle in; now that I've done that I feel much more at ease," Juan Jesus told Inter Channel.
"I'm working hard to make sure I have a great season with Inter, considering that it's a World Cup year, too. Inter and the Selecao are both very important to me.
"I'm still young, so I have to keeping growing and learning with every game, every training session. [Head coach Walter] Mazzarri is giving us so much input in that respect."
Juan has made 32 Serie A appearances for Inter so far.
